Important Message: Metro Atlanta Region Race Update

Good Evening Dixie Shootout Members,

The forecast is still showing heavy rain (80% chance) Saturday morning but the afternoon/evening is now 40% chance of rain. We plan to have one round of practice on Saturday afternoon with qualifying to follow. Sunday’s chances of rain is 20% so we plan to complete lower mains and A mains on Sunday.

To prevent families from having to travel and incur additional expenses to a separate banquet, we will have the awards ceremony for the 2015 points following the races on Sunday rather than Road Atlanta. Dinner will be served upon completion of all races on Sunday. Dinner tickets may be purchased at registration on Saturday from 12pm – 2:30pm.

In the event of rain on Sunday we will follow the USAC rules, “Points for a “Rain Out” Race, however our intent is to complete all races.

Thanks for everyones patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
